ABOUT THE DEVIL'S BRIGADE

The Devil's Brigade was founded September 1st, 1997 by Jttrout2 on the Total Entertainment Network (not to be confused with certain other lame clans impersonating us). Intended for Quake Team Fortress, it was named for the World War 2 US/Canadian "First Special Service Force".

Founded with the idea that clans could be something MORE than mere clubs where people got together for a few minutes and owned someone. We came from the chaos of individuals being jumped by clans they had pissed off, or because they felt like it, and operate on the simple premise that the friendship and principles we bring to the games we play are not something you can "just get" elsewhere. As a result, we attract better people, many of which stay for years. This is not an easy tag to wear however, and neither was the unit from which we borrowed our name.

The Devil's Brigade will be 8 years old as of September 1st, 2005, and has earned it's share of battle honors. Among them are:

TEN Team Fortress, Associated Tournaments - Retired undefeated in match play. Also only clan to successfully transition from TEN to general online play (of 20 who tried).

Quake World Team Fortress, participating in 2 levels of STA play, numerous tournament honors. Approximately 2/3 win to loss ratio.

HL: Counter-Strike - Winning records in STA, and CAL, as well as participation in UGS. Active in CAL.

Battlefield: 1942 - Consistent winning record in TWL in ladder and league play. Active in TWL.

Battlefield: Vietnam - Retired after successful tours in 2 TWL competitions and dissolution of Devil's Aggression hybrid clan.

Battlefield 2 - Probably our next game...if it lives up to the billing.

We take our gaming seriously, and can rarely be called "inactive"; if we're not competing, we're preparing to compete.

Our standards are high, and we expect the best on and off the field from our Devils. TDB stands for skilled, professional play, honor, and teamwork; we also maintain a strong anti-cheat attitude and make no secret of it. This attitdue has attracted people from all levels of the community, from the retired, to league admins, clan leaders, and even leading members of the various gaming communities we've been a member of.

It is said that the F.S.S.F. never failed a mission; here at TDB, we try to uphold that tradition in our own, small way.
